I kind of learned that it first started with the divorce family law practice, because I actually did bankruptcy before I got into family law. and as I got into the family law, I realized, I don't remember the name of the case. But I remember this one case where it struck me that we can, you're dividing up assets and you're dividing up liabilities. And it struck me that neither of these two people could really afford to live based upon the debt service they had. And there was almost no way to solve the divorce because we could never get past that. It just finally clicked in my mind, and I put the bankruptcy and the divorce together. And I said "you know we can solve this case if these people first file bankruptcy. Get themselves a fresh start, so we can solve their debt problem. Then they can financially afford to get the divorce that they really need, because they were just ready to be divorced. And then they could in turn go on and co-parent their children, you know, without having this tremendous debt-load that would never enable them to go further.
